Swimming Pool Cleaners

If your existing pool cleaner cannot be repaired, we recommend a new Poolvergnuegen because they are the most efficient and reliable. They are not the least expensive, but because they pick up more debris and don’t break down as often as other cleaners, you save money in the long run.

Swimming Pool Motors & Pumps

Checking these items will protect your motor:

  • Keep your filter within the proper PSI range
  • Make sure the impeller is not impaired
  • Make sure there are no plumbing leaks

Arizona pool motor laws

New energy efficient pool motors are now the law. On January 1, 2012 a new law took effect in Arizona that impacts pool owners and pool service companies alike. This law is intended to eliminate the installation and/or use of all but the most energy efficient pool motors. The part of the law — Title 44 — that affects pool owners is printed below, specifically section 2b. While we are aware that some pool cleaners are not complying with the new law, there is a severe fine for non-compliance. Desert Waters Pool Care will follow the law. Even though the new two-speed and multi-speed motors are initially more expensive, they save energy costs in the long run.

Arizona Title 44 (Trade and Commerce) Section 1375.02
B. Beginning January 1, 2012, the following standards apply:
(b) Motors with a total horsepower capacity of one or more shall have the capability of operating at two or more speeds with a low speed having a rotation rate that is no more than one-half of the motor's maximum rotation rate and shall be operated with a pump control with the capability of operating the pump at two or more speeds.
